Hmm. July was a lot, in the best kind of way.
We did a bunch of cool things, stayed busy (maybe too busy), and somehow still had fun along the way.
Now August’s here, and nope; we’re not slowing down anytime soon.
Keep reading, there’s so much to share.
But before we begin…
ANOTHER BANGER! YECAN x Comic Relief
What’s that sound? Oh, just YandyTech entering the global chat.
In July, YECAN (Youth Empowerment for Climate Action in Nigeria), one of our flagship initiatives, was featured by none other than Comic Relief UK. Yes, THE Comic Relief. The international charity. No big deal…except it totally is.
We didn’t even see it coming, we were highlighted in one of their articles, and now, we’re famous (Nicki Minaj could never) feeling very grateful *wink.
Big shoutout to the amazing young people behind this initiative who are taking climate action seriously and showing that youth-led change isn’t just a buzzword; it’s the real deal.
Show us small love and read the article here.

WYSD 2025: Skills, Screens & Big Dreams
To celebrate World Youth Skills Day 2025, we teamed up with Poetic Wednesday and Society for Family Health (SFH Nigeria) under the A360 Project to host a 2-day tech-meets-creativity experience, and it was a blast!
Held on July 15th and 16th, from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM each day at our office — 43A Ruwan Godiya Street, Unguwan Sarki, Kaduna, the workshop brought together curious minds, emerging creatives, tech-loving geeks, and brilliant adolescent girls from across the city.
Here’s what went down:
• Digital literacy & online safety
• Hands-on AI tools practice
• Real talk about future digital & AI careers
• Mentorship, networking, and some big dreams
We’re still bubbling with the energy from the room. In case you missed it, don’t worry; we’ve got more in store.

Peer Learning + Panel Boss Moves
Our CEO, Mohammed Bayero Yayandi, has been outside this July… literally.
On July 20th, he represented YandyTech as a panelist at the World Youth Skills Day event in Zaria, organized by BYY Innovations, themed “Youth Empowerment through AI & Digital Skills”. The event brought together changemakers to envision a future powered by youth and technology.
And that’s not all oh… a few days later, on the 24th of July, he led a peer-learning Zoom session with the WCA community, mentoring young peacebuilders, in a session titled “Free Digital Tools for Nonprofits: Boost Your Impact.” Participants walked away with new platforms, practical tips, and plenty of “where has this tool been all my life?!” moments.
This man doesn’t rest, we swear. Sigh.
We stan a visionary leader who shows up, teaches, and still finds time to mentor the next wave. Respect for brotherly.
